Our sailing classes run either four consecutive weekdays from Monday through Thursday or two consecutive weekends, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a 30-minute break for lunch. Weekday classes are available starting Mondays from June 16 through September 4 — weekend classes start June 21 through August 31 (click here for the 2008 Summer Class Schedule). Classes meet at the Morro Bay Yacht Club, 541 Embarcadero, Morro Bay, CA 93442 (805-772-3981).

Time is divided between "classroom" and "on the water" instruction. In good weather, we sail. In poor weather, we are forced into the classroom. All instructors are certified by the United States Sailing Association.

Bring your lunch. We will break for lunch but will want to get back on the water as soon as possible.

Life vests are provided; however, you may bring your own, especially if you are a child.

Bring a change of clothing -- you may get wet. Weather in Morro Bay is unpredictable. Bring something for cool weather. Also bring a hat that will stay on, along with sunscreen.
